Slow Food Denver is a volunteer-driven organization, and we depend upon volunteers to do most of our work. Volunteer opportunities most frequently happen in conjunction with our events. Each event requires a number of volunteers to help out, and this type of work can range from checking in people as they arrive at the event, to busing tables at a dinner, or even helping others to understand the work of Slow Food at a community table.
We communicate to the community about our volunteer opportunities primarily through our email list. By signing up for this list and checking the “volunteer” box, you will receive emails whenever we have a specific opportunity to get involved. Just respond to the email to connect with us and get involved.
Additionally, we are always open to new projects and ways to advance our mission, and many of these projects come from our volunteer members. If you have an idea of a way for Slow Food Denver to help advance our mission of Good, Clean, Fair Food for All, email our volunteer coordinator with your idea and how you’d like to be involved.
