One of the most common questions that we get at Slow Food Denver is “What difference can I make in in my own community?”
Many Slow Food members choose to show support for the movement by making informed purchasing decisions that benefit farms and farmers in their local community. By signing up for a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), shopping at a Farmers’ Market, or just purchasing locally grown products from your favorite grocery store, you can put your money where your mouth is and invest into even more local production.
Looking to sign up for a CSA? You can find a list of Colorado CSAs here.
Interested in finding a Farmers’ Market? The Colorado Farmers’ Market Association can help you find one close to your home.
In addition to focusing on shopping locally, you can also help support Slow Food Denver and our mission of Good, Clean, Fair Food for All by signing up to volunteer at one of our many events, joining Slow Food USA, or donating directly to our organization.
